Plastic ball valve materials, do you really know?

Plastic ball valve is mainly used to cut off or connect the medium in the pipeline, but also used for the regulation and control of fluids. Ball valve has many advantages, such as low fluid resistance, light weight, compact and beautiful appearance, corrosion resistance, wide range of applications, sanitary and non-toxic materials, wear resistance, easy disassembly, easy maintenance. Why does it have so many advantages? This is the point we are exploring today – the material.
Different materials have different characteristics, and when it is made into a plastic ball valve, the plastic ball valve will be given the characteristics of the material itself. Today, there are many materials used to make plastic ball valves, such as UPVC, RPP, PVDF, PPH, CPVC, etc.
UPVC is usually called hard PVC, which is an amorphous thermoplastic resin made of vinyl chloride monomer by polymerization reaction plus certain additives (such as stabilizers, lubricants, fillers, etc.) UPVC ball valves are not only acid-, alkali- and corrosion-resistant, but also have high mechanical strength and meet national drinking water sanitation standards. Product sealing performance is excellent, is widely used in civil construction, chemical, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, metallurgy, agriculture, irrigation, aquaculture and other water official road system. -10℃ to 70℃ temperature range.
RPP is a reinforced polypropylene material. Ball valves assembled and molded with RPP injection parts have excellent corrosion resistance, extended service life, flexible rotation and easy use. -20℃ to 90℃ temperature range.
Polyvinylidene fluoride, PVDF for short, is a highly non-reactive thermoplastic fluoropolymer. It is a flame retardant, fatigue resistant and not easy to break, anti-wear, good self-lubricating properties, good insulation material. PVDF ball valve has good chemical stability, chemical resistance and heat resistance stability. It can be used for a long time in the temperature range of -40℃ to 140℃, and can resist all salt, acid, alkali, aromatic hydrocarbon, halogen and other media except strong solvents.
CPVC is a new type of engineering plastic with promising application. The product is white or light yellow tasteless, odorless, non-toxic loose granules or powder. cpvc ball valve whether in the acid, alkali, salt, chlorine, oxidation environment, exposed to the air, buried in corrosive soil, even at 95 ℃ high temperature, inside and outside will not be corroded, still as strong and reliable as the initial installation.
